4786 Chinle rug
$ 400.00
Not really in the tradition of Chief's Blankets, but reminds you of one...the seller called it a Chinle. The colors are bright but not glaring commercial and vegetal-blend dyes with some natural wool colors--some of the tan-brown, some of the white. It's a soft weave, not a “tapestry” tightness, but regular and consistent, symmetrical & well done. It measures about 30” x 36” and the weaver is from a Hopi village, but she is Navajo or Navajo-married.
